My mom worked at the Cary town center for 20 years, only to have that place taken down by a town council board that wasn’t even from Cary. Now this place is just a bunch of rich snobs from New York or some liberal overrun place.

Please respond to me my Grandmother Property Sold and when it was sold we noticed they didn't survey the land correctly we told them that our property went way more than 30 ft back but they told us repeatedly that we didn't own that property it wasn't ours and that my grandmother never owned the property so that's when we sold the property we believe that she is never owned it and going back we found blueprints of the original house and how far back her property really goes and we noticed that part of the property is still the same way it is since we sold it so legally do we still on that property since the land they bought was what they surveyed and what was signed on the contract doesn't that mean the land that wasn't surveys it still herd and she paid on that land for over 30 years straight only issue on facing it was sold 5 years ago put on the law it hasn't been more than seven so they cannot claim the land as theirs yet since she has paid over 20 years continuously with documents that the land was hers

I have lived all over NC. Apex was one of those little towns that was wonderful to live in now it's way over grown don't move there !!! Everything this lady is saying she has just visited not lived in !!!

As soon as I realized your bias for the Wake county area, I had to stop watching. Duke is an incredible hospital and we have had to use it many times for my wife's lifelong illness. However, I would no more live in your neck of the woods than I would an isolated island somewhere. Crime rate is soaring, traffic is appalling, and there are simply too many people. With all the social activities of a big city, comes the headaches of limited privacy, and crowding of bodies. If that is what you want in your retirement years, then have at it. I am a lifelong North Carolinian. I deal with tourists and traffic during the summer months. After that, peace and quiet.

Healthcare is the most frustrating part of moving to NC. Everything requires a referral, regardless of what type of insurance you have. In NJ, you have greater autonomy & can phone any physician or specialist you want an appointment with. Only HMO policies are typically the only type that require a referral.

As a local middle school student, I am great friends with the son of stick boy bread owners, and everyone there is super nice and I cannot recommend it enough

As a life time NC resident near Asheville here’s the truth…., Asheville used to be a perfect town … slowly the woke crap took over and ruined it… trying to be inclusive only got them more crime and a huge h9me,es population …..it’s a whole different and somewhat dangerous place… now we all call Ashville , San Fransisco East… The lefties ruined it… It’s all unreal..

We lived in North Carolina for 20 years in a rural, small town in the foothills. Thankfully, we kept our home when we moved away for a job, we live in Florida now. It is a beautiful area and my husband has a wonderful job, for which I am so grateful. When my husband retires we will move back to North Carolina. Having lived in Florida the past 7 years have seen the prices of property tax, homeowners and auto insurance have greatly risen. I also miss the seasons changing in North Carolina. We would have about 2 snows a year and enjoy sledding down the neighborhood hill, within about 2 days the snow would melt, we only shoveled the steps into the house. You are right about the museums in North Carolina, especially the state run museums in Raleigh. You mentioned the arts, we went to plays and ballet throughout the year. Our home is near the mountains and love the view, but can easily visit the coast, which we would visit the once or twice a year and love the NC beaches. Yes, NC has many cultures and I found it incredibly interesting to learn about the different cultures, especially the Applachian culture where my home is located. I enjoy my time in Florida, but looking forward to my return to NC! Thank you for the video.

My grandma is FROM fuquay and stated the Fuquay Consolidated African American school is the real history of the place and the formerly all white school Fuquay Springs High. She feels that is grossly overlooked and I can agree with that

Asheville is my home town. After college, I moved to Florida to work in the defense industry, and couldn't wait to get back to the mountains. I moved back, but over the years the southern charm of this once great small town is pretty well gone. Home prices are high, homelessness, traffic, and trash are excessive. City and county government has been taken over by the woke crowd, police have been defunded, and crime is rampant. If you visit, do not take your family downtown after dark. We now go into the city only when absolutely necessary (jury duty, concealed carry permit, etc.).

After retirement in 2015, we moved from South Florida to Asheville. We love it more every year that we are here, but don't move here. She is right. It really sucks. Go anywhere else.
